Those of us who do die-cast know you can use acetone to remove the tampo print on the Action cars up to 2007 sometimes to not have to fully strip, saving some time on a build. But what about the newer Lionel stuff?? I haven't built anything past 2007 and am wanting to give it a try...don't really wanna fully strip unless need to..

It depends. Some you can, some you can't. Forget it on the Gen 6 cars though. They have a clear coat on them. I bead blast my cars and some of the new ones even fight bead blasting.

The Hamlin Fedex cars are the worst ones I've found.

Not on some of the Gen 6 diecast it won't, the Hamlin Fedex car being one of them.
