What kit were you referring to? I could see this argument going both ways, if someone had a kit that is a bit harder to find, and was asking for more that you are willing to pay, doesn't nessecerily make the wrong.

Yeah, it all depends on the kit.

I think he might be referring to a sealed 04 dodge kit?? Well if you talk to Tom Henderson, he's in belief these kits "Fair Market Value" is about $7. But his beloved Mike's Decals list their Donor price at $31.50 and even calls the kit "Super Rare". I, who has regularly purchased these kits see them around $25.00, before shipping. $20 if your lucky. Hell, I recently picked up 2 Revell Dodge Trucks for a good price and tried helping someone out and told him I'd do $30 shipped, and was told That was too high. I've decided to save the kit for a rainy day and keep it for myself.

Are you referring to E-Bay? I have seen some prices of some cars that are way out of range. Some people think they have a super rare model not realizing that over a million of those kits were produced.

And if it has the name Earnhardt (Sr or Jr) you're allowed to ask premium prices.

And if it has the name Earnhardt (Sr or Jr) you're allowed to ask premium prices. Or Gordon, or Johnson, or Benson, or if you sniff the glue too! Don't forget some experts think fair market value for kits are under $10
