Been kind of burnt out on the diecast front so I picked one up at the hobby shop yesterday for under $20. Got a JJ one too- it's taking a bath right now getting stripped haha. The kits are nothing more or less than expected- better than no NASCAR kits! I filled in the exhaust dumps and filed them down. I sanded down the hood pins to prepare for photoetch ones later. The body was obviously pre painted but there was "overspray" around the black areas and the stripes had some issues as well. I sanded down the rough molding edges and scuffed the painted areas. Shot a coat of Testors Silver to correct that portion of the paint. Will shoot the Star Spangled Blue later this week.
