Hello everyone,
Working on a 2001 Monte Carlo, have an updated resin nose I would like to use. I have never done this, can you tell me about where to cut the body, what type of glue and any other helpful tips or advice?
Thanks so much

First, you will want to make sure the hood fits the nose. This may require some sanding, but will want to be sure they meet up.
What I do next is lightly mark on the hood where the resin nose ends to get an idea where to cut the body. I usually eyeball it with a pencil and try to trace the edge of the nose on the body.
When I cut, I will cut a little less then I need from the body. After I cut, I'll sand the body and work the nose in place. Making sure there is no gap with the hood and looks good. I will then use masking tape to hold it in place and superglue the nose in place.
Hope this helps

Thank you,
This is a big help. I never thought of marking the hood, I was just trying to eyeball where to cut on the body and then work the hood after.
