Need some help IDing the make and model of some early Labonte cars. First up is from '78: Source says it is an Olds, but the grille and quarter window aren't the same as the 442. Also of note, Racing-Reference says Labonte only ran Chevrolets in '78. Next is from '79: Source says this is from Daytona in '79. Racing-Reference shows that Labonte drove a Buick at Daytona, Rockingham, and Talladega in '79. Body is the same thing that ran in '78. These are the only two Labonte cars I have not been able to identify or find a kit/diecast for.

Stoney,
Those are Buick LeSabre's.....closest match would be the an Olds Cutlass/442.

I could modify the quarter windows on a 442 I guess, but I am still stuck on the front end. Any ideas?

Not only the front, but the rear might take a little work.

Stoney, I know Ronnie at Southern Motorsports Hobbies used to offer a late 1970's Buick. I don't see it in his current catalog, but he is always recasting, so it may not hurt to email him and see if he would be redoing that body anytime soon. Would be much easier than trying to modify the Olds 442. Hope this helps!
Dan.

Those are Buick Century's, I'm thinking you could use the Johan Olds Cutlass and mod the hell out of it...
