I never knew there were 1:18th scale diecast kits. Hell, the only sprint kits I knew of (other than the old Monogram ones) were the Bass Pro Kits that came out a couple years ago. I picked up 2 of them just to make some Labonte custom sprints.

GMP used to make them. Always intrigued me then they seemed to go MIA for years. Just happened to see that R&R was offering them again. The Revell kits are cool, I've done a couple, just outdated.

Got some priming and painting done before it cooled off. Chassis is about the only metal part of this car, ironic it's "diecast". Engine, suspension, etc is straight model kit. Wings are plastic. I'd forgotten how much I hate painting plastic compared to metal- seems something always messes up haha

lol. Apparently that's the 1/18-1/24 combo set. I just got 1/18. He's good people, I won't complain haha

I actually did, but not from the same guy...and they're printed wrong lol. The "eagle" and "Goodyear" are both facing the same direction, if that makes sense lol. Being a stickler for perfection, I may hold off for now...

If you scan an image of both your front tire and rear tire at 300 DPI, I can make them for you pretty quick. Scanning at 300 DPI gives me a 1:1 template to work with.

Joey Saldana's 2011 Kasey Kahne Racing ride. Tried the decals I had- may take you up on that if the imperfection drives me nuts haha. Need to get some ink so I can print/scan too.   |
