I'm going to attempt a 2013 Ryan Newman Smurfs car from the Brickyard, I don't want to use the wrap style decals either. I find that the Patto's wrap style decals are a little small. What's the easiest way to get that red checkered pattern using paint? Base coat, tape off pattern and paint again?

You'd be better off doing a decal for that, but Patto can go get bent. He likes to steal others' artwork. I'm currently working (slowly as it's not a top priority) on this very decal scheme.

Thanks Brandon, guess I better get my butt in gear and start messing around with making decals. This is a special build I want to do, it's a gift for Sam Deeds who was the 2013 rename the Brickyard contest winner, I went to grade school with him. He ordered one from somebody and they never delivered! He got screwed out of some $$$$ for a custom.

He probably ordered from Redline Designz if I had to guess since he got screwed.
