Hey guys, what do you think is the best brush on paint? I don't know what I was thinking buying that cheap Testor's crap in the small bottle but it really went on like crap. Now I have to take it off and start over. Anyway thanks so much for your help guys.

More important question is what are you painting? I have several of the small Testors paints I use on small details.

I'm with Brandon, it all depends on what you are painting. Small details and even parts like the engine, seats, steering wheel ect, I use the testors bottle paint. But if it's something like a roll cage/ chassis, wheels or dash board I use spray paint. But that's my personal preference

I was painting the small front grills on the front of the die-cast and the paint clumps and goes on thick. These are the $1.29 bottles of paint I saw some that were a little bigger and cost about $4.00 and thought they might go on better.

Sounds like a bad bottle of paint. I have both the small square bottles and the larger round bottles.

Is the large round bottle a better quality paint Brandon? Is Testor the best paint to buy?

Testors is pretty much all the same. Some will say the Model Master round bottle paint is better. I don't really see it. Tamiya is more expensive, but I've never noticed a big enough difference in quality to justify the cost.

I use both the Testors and Tamiya, Tamiya seems to have a bigger color selection, but it does seem stickier and thicker to me than Testors. I thin out the Tamiya a little before using it. The closest hobby store to me is a hour and a half drive, so a lot of ebay and amazon ordering. Looking at colors chips on a computer doesn't always translate to the actual color when you use it either.

Yea I was thinking the same thing Kris to maybe thin it out just a little bit. Also I am going to buy the $4 bottles of Testors instead of the cheap $1.30 bottle.
