Do you guys sand your Die-cast before you primer them? and if so what grade of sandpaper should I use, thanks everyone.

Strip it to bare metal, wash, and prime.

Just as Brandon said. I use a self-etching primer, but that is just personal preference.

okay so after I strip it down to the bare metal just wash it and there is no need to sand the metal.

What I do before priming the bare metal is give the diecast a quick once over with fine steel wool. Then after washing it off and drying, I rub a tack cloth over the car to make sure no oils or dust ruin the primer adhering to the bare metal. Hope this helps.
