Looks like it just got interesting. I wonder what the fine is for Bowyer getting out of his car after the wreck with the #44 and confrontinf him?

Drivers are reminded to stay in their vehicles during the drivers' meeting held before every NASCAR national series race, a practice that Pemberton called "informal, but just an understanding over the years." Friday's addendum -- Section 9-16: On-Track Incident Procedure -- outlines and expands upon that reminder, adding that potential penalties for violations of the new rule would be assessed on a case-by-case basis. Exceptions to the rule would be made for instances of fire, smoke in the cockpit or other emergency situations that would require expedited egress. The rule also cautions both drivers and crew members from approaching any part of the racing surface, apron or any moving vehicles. "It's a behavioral penalty," Pemberton said. "We'll acknowledge it when it happens."

I missed group 1A. Gotta say, I think this qualifying is plain stupid. Guess I miss the old school way, the twin 125s during the day...oh well. If they want to screw with qualifying elsewhere, go for it, just seems dumb since they have the qualifiers...plus tradition.

Yeah not sure why NASCAR uses this format for this race because they have the Twinn 125's?

It gives another opportunity to wreck cars, and nascar thinks the fans like that. I was impressed with Kurt Busch's comments after Q1, he didn't make Q2. He pointed out how stupid this particular qualifying style is and the opportunity to have the crew work their hiney off on a qualifying car and have it wrecked due to the actions of another car or two.

I agree. Not a fan but props to Bowyer for calling out NASCAR not Sorenson. It is a joke.

I forgot all about qualifying today. I'm sure the black helicopters are flying though since Gordon got the pole.
