A bit surprised the Elliott announcement came this early but very happy none the less. I would've figured he would get a number besides 24. Looking forward to 2016.

Yeah I was surprised he is using the #24? I saw were Petty said he could use the #9. But I thought he would at least use the #25 because he is using it this year.

I am stoked that he will be in the 24!! I wanted to keep pulling for that car and see that car on the track!! Best person that could have been put in there.

With the announcement that The King has said the #9 Chase's if he wants it, I don't see the actual 24 on track next year.

I think its great that he will be switching to the 9, that is gonna be his number, his legacy, not living in the shadow of Gordon, not matter what he did, as long as he drove the 24, he would always be in that shadow and compared to him(Gordon)
