This one is stalled out. I have too many projects going with the Fireball Roberts car and 4 airplanes that are about 1/2 done. This one is an OOB build except for after market decals and a set of donated 5 hole chrome wheels courtesy of a fellow modeller. The interior and chassis are done and the body is built. I am using Tamiya spray can TS-23 light blue for the Petty and still have to purchase the "STP" red color. Here is where it sets as of now.---John |

While the gloss coat of the Fireball Roberts car is setting up I am going to mask and paint the Petty Blue on the '84 Grand Prix. I am going to cut masks and cover the areas that need to be STP Red. That will be down the center of all top surfaces and the sides roughly from the chassis body meet to just abve the rocker panels at bumper level, sorta, kinda. I am using several images of the real deal to help me determine the location and I also measured the decals.Here is a test fit of the body to chassis.---John  |

The masks are off and I need to do some clean up and scrape some red that ran under the mask on the front radiator chrome grill. The stripe decals will also hide some of the defects, nothing really bad.---John   |
