A little late to the party but here's my old Revell build for Bill Elliot's 97 Mac Tonight Thunderbird. This kit had serious warpage.---John

Love the colors, what did you use? Also, was this one metallic or solid blue? I have this kit down the road to build, always loved those McDonalds paint schemes.

No metalics, all colors are Tamiya spray can shown below. I started the decals, they are very thin and fragile. Some how over the years they got bent or mishandled, a wrinkle on the sheet was actually a tear in the decal. I bought them second hand with no instructions, owner said there never were any, I can see that. The seller was a really decent guy and I don't blame him in any way for the wrinkles or creases in the decals. Who knows who owned them or handled them previously. They are made by Sunset Graphics. They go down good, they are big so wrinkles can't be helped until you add the solvaset! Works like a charm. I am not impressed with the yellow color decals, not solid at all.---John

I'm hoping this is the last of the "marred" decals. It wanted to break into 3 pieces. Again on the sheet it just looked to me to be a "thumb crease". The only other one left on the sheet is the small number 94 for the front headlight. Hoping this dries "healed".---John

More decaling and patching. I can't wait for this nightmare to end. Every other decal ripped or had tears. The Thunderbird logo they gave me was black and huge, it would never fit below the hood! I used the crappy kit decal, not as thin but it was the right size and color. The Amoco decal on the left rear has three rips and doesn't fit the contour. Oh well I'm almost done. Never again for this brand!---John

I used a couple more kit decals. There were no decals for the door post and the ones for below the NEW HOLLAND were totally bogus. I should have looked into a Goodies sheet! I just need the drivers signature above the doors, Good Year over the front wheel wells and a few random stars and it's ready to glass coat then add windows. That is after I paint the window trim.---John

Excellent build!! Despite the shitty decals, yours came out real good. I'm stoked to do mine now. This was one of those kits that intimidated me for years, only because I love this one and didn't want to mess it up.
