While printing a few orders last night, my printer started banding. For those that do not know what that means, it means an element has burned out on the print head of the printer which results in white lines through the prints. Most of the time when a print head goes out, the printer is dead. There are some places that will repair, but from my understanding the cost to repair is as much if not more than trying to buy a new printer. I am currently looking at repair options and also looking for another printer. For those with pending orders, I am working with a friend to try and get everything printed. If I can not afford a new printer, I may have to close up shop all-together. I do not want to do this, but it may end up being the only option. I am hoping that I can locate a new printer at a reasonable price so that I can continue printing decals.
I will keep everyone posted with any news or updates I may have. Thank you everyone for being patient. It is the people like you that make me enjoy being part of this hobby.

That really sucks. I know the feeling, I went through about 10 Alps printers but haven't used them for a while. A few years back they were much easier and cheaper to replace. Once they stopped the exchange program the prices for them started steadily increasing. Now they are out of hand.

I am guessing, if he had an update worth mentioning, he would probably share it. He’s been very transparent with the whole deal. Please be patient as I know Jason has a few things in the works. If he owes you decals. He will find you a way to get them. Stay tuned I guess? |

I don't doubt Stoney will do right by his customers. I'm just interested to know if he found a printer or parts. I think this hobby needs Stoney to stay in business and don't give up. His selection of decals is far superior. No where else do you find so many selections.

I have a new printer lined up, it is just a matter of coming up with the $800 needed to order it. That is part of the reason I started the GoFundMe. It would take me too long on my own to come up with that much, and lots of people messaged me asking if they could help.
Once I get the printer ordered, it will take 3 weeks to get it. I have to order direct from Japan.
