My daughter plays U12 ringette in Cole Harbour N.S as well as on a provincial development team. We spend a lot of time at various rinks. It is always nice to hear the “war” stories.

That's awesome!! Isn't it amazing how much time we parents spend at the rinks? Pee Wee is a fun age to watch them grow and develop. I couldn't wait for Bantam to start seeing the hitting and now it bores me to death, I miss the Pee Wee age.

Got a phone buddy lol. We had a heartbreaker this weekend, played Palmyra Black Knights. They had a 3-0 lead going into halfway in the 3rd period then we scored a goal. They scored right after us and I knew this game was over. Well, we came back and scored 2 with 5 minutes to go in the game and pulled the goalie with 1 minute left and tied up the game at 4-4. Their defense snuck by us and the kid made a great pass and beat our goalie for the go ahead win. It sucked but I can't feel bad about the loss, we did get 1 point for the loss so not all is bad. No league game this weekend, we are playing between 2-3 intermission of the Lehigh Valley Phantoms(AHL)game and then a non league game against a New Jersey team on Saturday.

We played a scrimmage game on Saturday against Jersey Shore, we lost that one 5-2, which is ok, like I said just a scrimmage game. We also played a league game against the Delco Phantoms on Sunday, the team looked great finally!! We took that game 12-5. We scored more points in 1 game than we have scored the whole year. And to be honest, they were in second place in the league so it's not like they were a scrub team. The Varsity team won 6-1 Friday night extending their undefeated streak.

The Youth Phantom team had 1 game on Saturday against the York Devils. Probably the most pissed I've been all year. We had a 3-2 lead with 3 minutes left in the 3rd period and the team let off the gas and let York come back to tie, and of course we lost it in OT. We have them at home this Saturday so hopefully it's a revenge game. we dropped from 2nd to 4th in the standings. Parkland Varsity has a tough one tonight against Freedom High School, this team could easily win and stop our undefeated streak tonight. They have a powerful offense and we have a powerful and fast defense, so anything can give tonight.

My son's Varsity team played Freedom High last night. Really pissed today, they beat us 3-0. This is the first Parkland league loss in 7 years. I knew the streak couldn't go on forever but still hurts to lose a game. My hats off to the players and parents of Freedom, both were very courteous and polite on and off the ice. I was expecting lewd and obnoxious comments but they kept quiet and courteous. I did get into 1 mouth battle with one of their parents but it quickly died down.

Had a great weekend of travel hockey, we won both games and jumped from 3rd to 1st in the league. He had no JV game Friday and he plays a Varsity game tonight (Monday). We do have a rough stretch of travel hockey coming up, over the next 3 weeks we play the # 2 team once ( we lost and tied them) and the #3 team twice(haven't played them yet) and two decent league teams. Our record is 6-3-1 with two losses coming in OT.
