After seeing some of the new decals being produced by the fine makers here, i was curious if we have a good current camaro body yet.

Stoney’s decals are designed to fit the Diecast Camaro that is currently out. The only other option at this time is that, if you want to even call it a Camaro body, from Southen Motorsports. I’ve heard rumblings that another, more quality resin body could be made available later this summer.

Well I know for a fact that a 3d designed Camaro body is in the works.

And with Revell US taking a shit, who knows if one was planned, they still had the rest of this year on the licensing agreement.

The rear quarter windows are wrong (they look like the Camaro windows but the actual car uses the same windows as the SS the wraps put on the car give the look of the Camaros. The grills arent right either, but they're shallow enough that you can fill them in and just use the decals to represent them. I ordered a set of Stoney's decals to use on it, but I havent started the project yet. I'll post of some pics later.

The whole body is now 100% surface modeled. I'm now working on the painstaking process of thickening up the body and getting it suitable for printing.

Hmmm... Sweet Brandon. Looking forward to seeing how this turns out. Hopefully the price to print one isnt too bad. But if its more accurate than the resin one I'll likely break down and buy one.

Will be more accurate than what’s currently available in Resin. But then again the SS kit is a more accurate Camaro then the SMH body.

I will have one printed to see the cost. It may be better to use a printed version as a master for a resin mold.
