Stoney, get ready to crank out some decals- I’m sure we’ll have a “super accurate” resin for this body out soon 😂

Ford came to me a few weeks ago and proposed the idea of the Mustang in the Cup series since I have so much experience in the sport.

I am probably gonna be one of the few that is not very excited for this, I have never cared for the Camaro or Mustang, just no, but the only good is maybe this will force Toyota to run the new Supra.

I for one like this. Not being a NASCAR guy the wars between fans about brands and drivers is beyond me. I like to see good racing and leave the drama for the soaps. I do think Ford switching to the Mustang is great, I love Mustangs and knew when Chevy put out the Camaro, Ford would have to follow suit. I hope Dodge comes back with the Challenger to reignite the full on Pony Wars. A Toyota Supra would be great as well. I'd also like to see other manufacturers enter the NASCAR series in an effort to revitalize the sport. And yes it needs a shot in the arm. I just watched the Atlanta race on youtube on the weekend and was surprised at how empty the seats were. I know the weather sucked that day and there was a rain delay, but still I remember races from years past and the stands were always full. One thing you can never knock NASCAR fans for is, they show up, in droves. Let's hope that the introduction of the Camaro and Mustang into the Cup Series will bring fans back, and more importantly new fans (me for one) to the races.

This man speaks the truth. Even in his wee young years, it was Dave who convinced Big Bill France to form Nascar. Just ask him. He'll tell you. All of us fans are in debt to him.

Thank you Brendan. Hopefully some day we can bury the hatchet, along with Jarrod (Stonie) and Craig Reyist.

I simply said for me personally, I don't like the Mustang or Camaro, I wouldn't own them either one , even for free, they don't float my boat, I feel like you think I was implying a lot, but I wasn't, I think it is in fact great, just not for this fan, but I still have Toyota, which is fine, I love Japanese cars a lot more anyways. I do think the Cup Camaro looks bad ass , and I cant wait to see what the Cup Mustang looks like. NASCAR fans and drama just go together, that is never gonna go away, and that drama comes from passion for NASCAR, I don't want that to go away , even if it means dealing with drama. I love the 4dr aspect of the Cup cars, and I am sad to see a part of that go away.

Spec racing is coming guys......IROC 2.0 I would say sure, but Ford plans on dropping the Fusion from its lineup after this year and I really don’t see why they would want to run a model in NASCAR that is no longer in production.

Thought I'd read this week that their going to composite bodies near 2020....so it just feels like we're leaning tward Iroc 2.0 I could see it coming, we're almost in an F1 situation now, costs are in the stratosphere to operate a team. Only the top three teams win, no more underdogs.. Nascar preaches about cutting costs, all that's left would be manufactures making the engines for their sponsored cars (i.e indy ilmor mercedes and the like) just a few predominate sponsors and there you have it..and why we're at it, hell France might even pull some type of Tony George fiasco.
