Nice work and now I want a burger...
I lower my kits by cutting off the wheel mounting pin/hub, set ride height with playing cards under the front and rear of the chassis to get the height/rake I want, then epoxy wheels on. Test fit completed wheel/tire and either thin the back of wheel or add shims to set correct wheel/tire distance under fenders.
This will work for a "shelf" model. Most of my kits have the hood glued down so not even an engine installed even if the kit comes with one. I focus on body finish and overall look. My 2 cents....

Great work, paint really pops. I lowered my Mello Yello and Exxon cars using the method tireman stated. You can scroll down the topic list and see them for reference. Great work again.

Thank you tireman and medix, I will give that a try with the Exxon car I am starting on now. Time to get some cards.
