Because of asshole elitists like Dave Van and much of the "older" crowd. Along with the Mike Herman ass kissing and the people that think the only decals worth using are screenprinted and/or are Powerslide. There are a lot of other contributing factors, but to me those are the main two. Well, and the fact you can't talk about NASCAR on a NASCAR modeling forum.

Dave Van, Gary66 to name a few why I quit posting over there. The latest pain in the ass over there seems to be Bangor Boy. And as Stoney mentioned, all the Mike Herman ass kissing is beyond annnoying. That's just to name a few. This forum is so great because you can actually talk about Nascar, people here actually enjoy the current Nascar (over on the other board, anything post 1990 is taboo). And one last great thing about this forum, I can say something like......ooh, I don't know, something like ....Dave Van can fuck off!!! and the thread won't get locked.

I read a post a couple weeks ago where somebody over there said they hope the GEN 6 decals sell well so Mike will make more old stuff...but even said they won't buy any new stuff because they don't like it. I'm not saying waste your money...but these are the same people who said they won't buy new kits because NASCAR isn't what it once was, etc...yet whine and moan because the companies won't re-issue some old Roadrunner or nobody will make some obscure 1983 decal set. I've built a little of everything...60s-current...just enjoy the hobby and sport. Kinda like the other guys said- over there, if you don't like their era, youre wrong. It's always made me laugh too, how they'll carry on a conversation about nonsense, but won't help somebody with questions. Is what it is...

I know for a fact there are a few good ones over there that visit here too. They just don't post here because of the hell they may catch over there, which makes me sad. I don't care who the hell joins here. Hell Dave Van himself could join here and I wouldn't care. But the first time he started his bullshit or got pissed because someone had a different opinion than him, I have have no problem laying down the ban hammer.
I am not trying to single Dave Van out (as there a bunch over there I would like to kick in the nuts), it is just easy to use him as an example because pretty much everyone here thinks he is full of shit. lol
