Exactly. I've never been a huge Kyle Busch fan but he hit the nail on the head- they're being consistent at being inconsistent and it all depends on the driver.

Since Gordon is already locked in, maybe he'll make sure that both of the Penske pricks end up with mangled cars parked in the garage during Texas & Phoenix.

They can't penalize their girl. They say it's different because he's laps down. I think you gotta consider the totality of the situation. It ain't like Jeb Burton dumped the leader lol. Frances statements just encourage dumping the leader for the win, because they aren't allowed to return the favor. The in car audio and statements of other drivers seem to all support Matt.

My opinion on the whole situation.
1. I don't have a problem with what Joey did in the race at Kansas. He tried to fill a hole to the outside and was pinched into the wall. Then he never lifted and spun Kenseth. I don't care who was on either end of it, it's just hard racing.
2. I DO have a problem with Joey stating he did not mean to do it. That's bullshit. From what I heard he has been bragging about what he did around the garage. I was middle of the road on Logano until this, now I don't care for him much.
3. I DON'T have a problem with what Kenseth did at Martinsville. He got his revenge, although the circumstances around it were no ideal. It should have happened racing for position, not waiting on Logano and using him up, being 9 or so laps down. I still don't have a problem with it though.
4. I DON'T have an issue with the penalty from NASCAR. The end result of what Kenseth did, I feel, was warranted but the manner in which it happened was suspect. I don't agree with that type of manipulation of the whole race and or chase process. Race him as hard as you can and if you're in the position to move him while making the pass, by all means take advantage of that. If the end result is the same then I feel no harm done. Had it went that way and NASCAR issue a penalty, I'd have a HUGE problem with that.
5. Danica. Who cares. She got used up so she used him up. It didn't manipulate the outcome of the big show. I agree that it wasn't in the same realm as the Joey/Matt deal. A lot of people don't agree because they want so badly to find something more to bash NASCAR about. The sanctioning body if far from perfect but I still love NASCAR just as much as I ever have. I'd take a boring 4 hour NASCAR race over any event from any other sport, any day of the week.
